240 wont start - electronics going crazy (video included)
Car was driving fine, parked it, went to start it the next day and she wouldn't start. The electronics are acting all crazy. I've just done some emissions/vacuum line deletion stuff recently, could that be the cause?
- headlights wont go up and down - no horn/radio - dash lights very dim/flickering - clicking noise from center console - some noises from the engine bay Sorry for the vagueness. Like I said, the car was driving fine 2 days ago, and now its like this. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated - Thanks! |

.........I am pretty sure 95% of your problem are those stickers you have all over the quarter glass and the gawdd awful shift knob
Sounds like a battery with the relays clicking and the dash lights so dim. Alternator/batter might be on the fritzz Grab a voltmeter and test the battery (which I am pretty sure is dead or close to it). Once that is sorted, you will either need to test the alternator on the car or carry it to autozone or whatever and have them test it. You issue sounds very much electrical |

im convinced battery is good, i've tested it and had it on the charger and it checks out fine. the alternator though... i almost replaced it a few months ago but it turned out i only had a faulty ignition switch its definitely something electrical i just cant figure out what or where after retracing my steps i think what might have happened is my headlight motor for the pop ups was left on for basically 24 hours straight. my new bumper isnt fitted perfectly yet and i may have pressed the pop up button and the bumper held the lights up while the motor was trying to put the lights down for a very long time but the bumper wouldnt allow it to go down... could this have fried something |

Have you tested the battery since this pop up headlight button incident?? That could have drained your battery very easily. Batteries do not like constant power drain unless you have an alternator replenishing the drained "Volts".
I would check again just to make sure and check for corrosion along the battery terminals. Had the same issue in my Infiniti a while back, battery was good, turned out to be one of the battery post starting to corrode only slightly, not allowing a full connect |
