AeroCatch Hood Pins

AeroCatch® - new design of bonnet pin, available in locking or non-locking versions – see how it works.........

I ordered a set for peace of my mind when on track. Was wondering if there is anyone on this list who installed these on a stock S14 Zenki hood. Tips, tricks, pictures of the install would be greatly appreciated.

I have done many of these on various types of cars.
Primarily on Carbon Hoods though.
With the Metal hood making the holes will be tougher of course.
Here is a picture of a S14 Zenki hood to give you an idea for placement.

These have been around for a long time, and a number of use of have used and installed them.

Just search "aerocatch" and youll see alot of topics already posted on these.

Not exactly sure why you would install these on a stock metal hood, unless of course your latch mechanism is shot.

And the instructions that come with the pins are pretty good.

Here is an install writeup on the FAQ section:

I didn't use any grease on them, I just shot em up with some wd40 and they were as good as new. I will probably have to get another set of these or not when I get my new hood.
