My idle is mechanically high somehow. The tuner wasn't able lower it any thru the ems. So I was thinking that was the only thing it could be. Only I don't know what happens when it's not working. If the idle would be high like mine is or something else.

usually a high idles comes from an intake leak. Intake manifold gasket, vacuum hose leak, throttle body gasket, intercooler pin hole, etc.

I had this issue and suspected my Power FC to be pooping but found out it was a leak at the intake manifold gasket.

at first I thought vac leak but I couldn't find anything leaking. Then I thought well maybe its the iacv but since I didnt know what exactly it did when it wasnt working I couldn't rule it out.
When I got home I looked really hard for any kind of leak but I couldn't really tell. I did feel a disturbance in air flow that kinda matched the engine but it was hard to tell if it was coming from someplace or just the air from the fan bouncing around. It was coming from around the tb. but everything looked perfect. All the gaskets are new.
The idle was fine until the tune 1.1k. The first day after the idle was high 1.4-1.5k but drove great. The second day drivability was starting to go down when starting from a stop. I would have to give it a bit more gas than I normally would. Today it was slightly worse. I hoping I will be able to find the leak, if there is one, tomorrow when I start it up. since its cold and I can really get my bare hands in all the small areas and feel around. ill also try to block the fan air in hopes I can feel something better.
All the problems so far....
Idle currently is still fairly stable at 1.5k and only fluctuates slightly to 1.4k. I also have a small ps leak from one of the hoses on the reservoir that im going to get fixed soon...ps fuild is spraying around a bit...and there is a noise from the intake side that may or may not be the new cams...trying to figure that out too. There is also a exhust leak from the test pipe. oh and im running a bit richer than before. I was at 14.4-15.1 at idle but now at times it goes to 15.6-16.3. Im still getting used to the car since I got it back so hopefully with all this info it will help find something wrong if its not just a leak...or maybe it helps confirm it. Ill be working on the known stuff as soon as I get a day off but its good to get a list of what to do before hand....thanks

power FC have an idle issue that you need to work around. IF you have the power FC say so I can tell you how to defeat it.

But it def sounds like a leak. Just pressure test it.

I was goin to suggest it was the power FC cuz i have the same idle issue with my power fc but u stated u had EMS. Anyway have u tried to back off ur throttle plate a bit. my brothers tuner said the same with his but we drove it home and backed it off a bit and dropped it 300rpms. its a flat head and 8mm wrench
