RB25DET Tachometer Recalibration for S14
In my pre-made RB25DET-to-S14 conversion harness, Wiring Specialties provided a how-to for recalibrating the S14 tach. The ECU shows 900RPM and the tach reads 1100ish. Anyway, the instructions read, "...The adjustment screw will be in the back of the tach-no need to take the face of the gauges is needed..."
Aside from the freaky grammar, this seems straightforward, but before I pull the tach I thought I'd ask if anyone has a photo showing the location of the potentiometer trim screw? I'd rather know what I'm looking for before pulling the cluster back out. Mr. Google (web and images), and Zilvia/Nico search have revealed nothing of value. Thanks in advance! |

I adjusted my S14 tach and you won't see it untill you take out the tach from the cluster and jumper it to make it work while you adjust it. small phillips screw.

i dont know, but if my mind serves me right, on my 98 i didnt use jumper wires, i just removed the speedometer and gained access to the adjustment screw. And if I remember correctly, some earlier s14's have the adjustment screw on the back.
