R32 front on S14
So I just got back from the main office in Japan and I recently purchased a S14 to build as a US demo vehicle. I was browsing ebay when I came across this...
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...spagename=WDVW Other than the rear part of the fenders, it lines up pretty decent. Seeing as how some of you guys are running the R32 headlights with the S14 zenki setup, I don't think it would be very difficult to do a R32/S14. That is, swap a R32 front bumper, hood, headlights, fenders, onto a S14. The body lines should match decent enough and since I would be swapping all those parts anyways, I'm considering this for the S14 I just picked up. Has anyone seen this done before? Do you forsee any other issues with this? |

As far as ruining 240's or BAWDY kits go, everything I use on my car is from Japan. No fake/knock off body kits or parts. I've got nothing against the S14 front, I'm just considering options... |

It seems like alot of you guys don't like the idea, and that's fine. But I made this thread to gather information, not opinions. Please post if you can provide some insight or hel and kindly refrain from posts with nothing other than an opinion.

Look closely at the fender where it meets the a-pillar, then look at the back end of the S14 and ask yourself...."does it really flow together".
I've seen a R33 done on a S14....but never a R32...that has been done on a S13. |

GUESS WHAT ANOTHER OPPINON!
The lines on your photoshop dont even line up;Not because you did a bad chop but because they DONT match up and it looks absolutely hidious. The cars shared slightly different dimensions as well. The bumper and head lights will have horrible gaps and the angles wont be right. The conversion has been sold before on Ebay and it looked like the car had been in a 5mph collision. |

I remember seeing something like that done to a s14. It had the skyline tail lights. It was for sale on some website. It was painted blue too... The tail lights didn't look too good and you could tell it was a 240sx. I will give mad props if you can do this and no one can tell it's a 240sx... Lol when cops come up to you and say you can't have a skyline here on street and you say, "But officer it's only a 240sx..." LOL

Now I've always loved the Skyline R32 and played the hell out of one on the first Gran Turismo but if you cant afford one buy the little brother which is.....the S14 with the SR20 of course and the front lights are even similar to the Zenki as you can see and the Kouki is like the half brother of something else? or just a pissed off designer from the look of the front lights!

Instead of speding the money converting a beautiful car....why not just import a real R32 since it seems like you go to Japan....I understand importing is not cheap but neither is this, plus you get the sexy front end on the car it was meant to be on and the Engine that was supposed to be in it Sorry that was another opinion. I recal seeing an R33 front end on an S14 on autotrader a while back.

I think you guys are don't understand where I was going with this. I don't want a R32 or R33. If I did, I would buy one. (they're damn cheap in Japan) I'm not trying to convert a S14 into something it's not. I'm not into cut and paste rice bodywork or into spending more money on the exterior of the car than on suspension. There's no RB going near my car. I just have a Zenki S14 that's gonna have the front half replaced one way or another and I'm just looking into options....any help is appriciated.

First of all, I am all for doing extreme things to cars because the reason that most of us modify our cars is to make them different from every other 240 you see out there. If you want to go extreme, go exteme. However, I don't think that the lines of the R32 match up well with the s14 though. The pictures you are posting look decent but they are of R33s. The s14s lines are smooth, not boxey like the R32. The R33 on the other hand has many more curves and therefore looks a lot cleaner on the s14. I could definitely see this being done to an s13 but not the s14. I remember a while back someone was selling their s14 on ebay but had done a front and rear end conversion. It was fairly well done but looked like a really skinny R33. Mad props for effort but it was obvious that it wasn't a real R33. Are you going for that look?
