10/13 private event at wsir balcony
Sup guys how you guys doing.? ok so recently i attented my first event at willow springs at a touke event. I was really impressed by regular college kid john (sliders562) for putting these events together. I couldnt believe how great it was being there, everyone was so friendly and helpful. Around the same time one of my close friends opened a new shop---Illicit Performance who specialize in everything from rotary to hardcore tunes. These crazy guys have driven on Leguna Seca and WSIR many times before(these guys wil be our instructors)... My Girlfriend Alexandra and I did our Homework and decided to hold our own event in honor of the two.
With that being said, i have about 8 spots left. Event price: 100 per driver( if your gf wants to drive its ok no extra charge) Date: 10/13/07 Time: 8-5 tech and meeting at 8:25 Where: Willow springs balcony ( which has been enlarge so u can reach higher speeds ) Might have drinks and bbq provided for you guys but ill comfirm this later Thanks for your time guys!! |

Hey guys My name is Alex, Edgar's GF, Well just to answer BLACK PARADES....question. Im not to sure on how Just Drift sets up their events on the balcony however we will set it up so that we have the skid pad and another little course running at the same time in the beggining ... after like 3 hours we will open up the whole track so that way you get to run the full oval...!!!!! We hope you will come out though!!!! It will be fun trust me!

Most people who do balcony do the just drift setup. Line up in the center section. when your up, you do a u turn to your left and head towards the j turn at the end. You set up at the end of the j turn Hit the straight away towards the skid pad, initiate to a left hand turn, then transition towards a ring placed on the skid pad. You go around the ring to the right, then exit towards the the straight away that leads back to the j-turn. I also just realized that formula d is that day also. So now im not sure. If i go it will be to benefit my buddy whos just starting out. So ill talk to him and get back to you. |

The first turn is gangster if you dip into the staging area real quick and initiate from there. But for beginners its a good ebrake turn. |

I dont think they made the j turn any wider. As far as i know they made the straight aways longer, and the skid pad larger, since most people use the actual skid pad more often.
Either way the j turn is a good beginers turn. Makes you really try to keep car on track and its low speed, so a spin into dirt will be ok. most people e brake in the learn to control slide. count me in! my buddies really excited about this event! So count in a silver rb20 fastback and stock charcoal s13 coupe. How do we make arrangements to pay or what not? |
