I cut out the skeleton of stock hood and used hood pins and I like it. The shop painted the underside so it looks good too. Saves weight over its original form, enough that I used to remove the hood by myself when needed.

I had a cf hood long time ago too, i made a idiot mistake by not latching the hood pins in a hurry to go leave with a chick . hahaha

Yah if i recall, you can see any resin glass hood flex or vibrate when driving, but its nothing to worry about.

Hood pins are gay. If you have a well built hood, it shouldn't fly off. I rocked a VIS Hood with no pins, pimptastic!

Besides the cars I have ridden in with FG hoods and hoodpins DO shake on the highway ,but they are also not nissans.

Damn this thread makes me want to get a vented hood,lol

my stock hood shakes! i just got a new windshield. so it better not flip open! i like the one with the three vents. look in the group buy section, or ad specials.

there's an edit button for a reason....

and for anyone considering cf/fg hoods, get hoodpins. just because someone ran a few years without hood pins with no problems, doesn't mean it won't happen to you. the latch on composite hoods is not attached securely enough to trust it completely.
