Can someone tell me where I can find the Initial D Arcade game in northern california? I know there's a spot at Dave & Busters in Milpitas, but I'm not 21 yet. Any other places to go?

Sup man-
I'm in NorCal too. I went to DnB like 2 weeks ago. They got rid of the game. The attendant said that it was a test they were doing, where they were 'getting the bugs out'. I didn't know there were any bugs to fix since this game has been out for 2+ years.... I'm still looking for local places that have this game, but with no luck. We can only hope that DnB brings it back. I guess you could try "Golfland Arcade" (or something to that name) in Sunnyvale. They always seem to have the latest/popular games in hopes that they have a machine there. (We're lucky that Sega and Sony are in the Bay Area and use that place to test a lot of their new arcades games) Sorry I coudln't be of more help... but I guess you could try the PSone Import? Or GBA "Text Only" version? -Aaron '91 240sx coupe P.S. You go to SJSU, right? How do you like it so far? (don't post here, send a PM) |

you could look at alternatives for now and play initial D based games like battle gear 2 for PS2 and Togue battle 3 also for PS2. Both games have all the initial D cars and then some but also recreated courses. i.e. akina, usui, myogi

So that's what happened to it at D&B. I can wait a little while until some other places get it in.

I agree with Battle Gear 2! I have played it in the arcade in Japan last winter and on the PS2. Fun as hell. The best view is the one from the cockpit of the car. Haven't played Togue Battle 3, but I should look into it.

I played Battle Gear in the arcade at Rowland Heights (socal). It's a lot more challenging than Initial D, I think... but I think Initial D is more fun. Plus, it has the kewl Eurobeat music and all, hehe
Curse this madness, I think I'll come back to socal this weekend anyways... maybe... just for the "240sx end-of-summer" meet in Long Beach. Then, I can go to the ol' arcade and play some Initial D before I drive back to San Jose. |
