Need help removing driveshaft boot.
I have looked and all I can find online is that its safe to run without the boot. But u can't find anywhere telling how to remove it. The reason I need to remove it is because my new driveshaft won't fit inside the boot. Its on a s14 sr20det blacktop.

I think I ran into a similar problem when I did a 5spd swap one time. the metal deal around the output end of the trani? what i did is used some cutters(similar to tin snips) and made cuts into the edges in a few spots then I grabbed on with a pair of pliers and twisted it inward until it bent/broke and the slid out.

2x4 and a mallet on the backside, smack towards rear of trans and it will come right off.
