Modding stock fenders?

So I'm installing my front suspension (extended LCAs, knuckles, tierods, tension rods, the good stuff) and I want to know if and how I can "mod" my front fenders for some better fitment once my front track gets decently wider. I'm not sure if s normal pull or roll will be enough and I don't want to go fiberglass.. I was thinking about cutting the fender down the body line and pushing it out with a "L" bracket or something, similar to the spoon fender look for S2Ks. What have you guys seen/done to help this. Also what can I do if I start rubbing my wheel well at lock, short of the trailer fender thing, BFH? Thanks guys
