half of a quart of gear oil

what will happen if I added 1/2 of a quart more of gear oil in the tranny? i'm lazy to drain. let me know what will happen?

Nothing...

May burp out the shifter or vent tube.

Draining is the easy part. Filling is usually the pain. Getting the thick oil back into the trans takes time to flow. What are you hoping to accomplish?

Use a funnel.

Plus nothing works better at deodorizing a car than parking in the sunlight and opening all the doors and windows.
