What is this "stage" BS? AHAHAHA Call up a shop and buy all that stuff. Most shops will hook you up if you buy in bulk. You will most likely have to buy the chipped ECU separately. And instead of getting cam gears, just get some nice cams.

ok so maybe I was a little overreacting, but still there is no "stages" that I have heard of for our cars, just go around to sites like:
www.phase2motortrend.com www.projectnissan.com www.enjukuracing.com www.heavythrottle.com www.optionimports.com www.splparts.com for suspension it does seem liek there are tons of these posts whre I keep listing places to buy stuff. oh well. or i could buy all the parts you need and then put them in a box, labeled "stage" and send them to you, no joke, if you got more money than the will to source parts, I really will do it for a few percent fee. |

but um yeah, no stages with 240s. Most owners are too cheap to give the car to someone and tell them what to do, and prefer wrenching themselves after sourcing parts for months trying to find best deals. |

aren't "stages" just someone's idea of what order to build in?
A tried and (hopefully) true build sequence to meet a certain power or handle or whatever goal? Basically stages are for unoriginal people who want to buy from a shopping list and hand them all to a speed shop to install everything ya? Like stated before, 240 owners pride themselves (mostly) on doing their work (again, mostly) themselves. There are a BUNCH of ways to go with S chassis cars, and no one path is the "correct" one, it's different depending on your application... street, strip, drag, autoX, etc... a "stage 3" drag car would be an entirely different build than a "stage 3" gymkhana car.... and I can pretty much guarantee a "stage 2" gymkhana car would decimate a "stage 5" drag car in a gymkhana event. It's all relative. When you say upgraded fuel pump twice, is that your real intention (cuz people DO do that... just that it's typically on full race cars)... Also don't forget all your gauges (electrical if possible) Adjustable Fuel pressure regulator adj. cam gears? wha? all that on teh stock turbo? whhaaaa? seems like a waste... especially paying bank to do the ECU *shrug* |

thats because it seems like every body is on the same page when it comes to adding some more power... and moding there car.. the majority seem like drag racing type of people rather than drifters... driftas... autoX... ect... and they all have the same engine.... only difference is tt or na.. hahaha.. 240 dudes have different engines that require different stuff to make it happen the right way.. but Yoshi pretty much made it clear why there isnt a standard.. |
