SR20DET Injector/Harness problem?

Hey guys,

I signed up here to try to help a friend figure out a problem.

He has a JDM S14 that had an SR20DE and he just swapped in an SR20DET and he's having starting problems.

He bought a front clip so he could get everything he needed.

The front clip he bought came with a powerfc without a hand controller.

So when everything was done the car wouldnt start.

My first thought was that the PFC probably didnt have any fuel maps on it since it may have been disconnected for so long and could have lost the maps, so we installed an OEM ECU and that didnt help.

After trouble shooting a bit, we took a circuit tester to his injector plugs and for some reason they are getting current even when the ignition is set to off. Which explains why his battery would drain overnight after the swap was done...

Now im guessing this might be some sort of short somewhere in the harness??

Anyone ever had this problem before?

Sounds like a possible short, maybe a fry, or a small cut somewhere.

Make sure everything is plugged properly.

I would definitely take the harness out and inspect it, it's possible during the swap something accidentally got cut.

Worse comes to worse you can order a new harness.
