Help me make a work schedule!!
My boss asked me to make a schedule at work due to the guy that works with me being on vacation.. Here's what the criteria are...
The schedule will begin on Monday of one week and go every day through the next Tuesday. A total of 9 days. . there are two people per shift. One shift a day. Employees A and B are trained to do a job that employee C isn't trained to do. But A and B are trained for Cs job. Either A or B must be on the schedule every day. Monday -Tuesday Would like to make it as fair as possible on everyone to get their hours. Any questions I'll respond ASAP Thanks think of it like a puzzle lol |

If you can't figure out employee scheduling, you definitely don't need to be in a position that would require such authority.
I'm really kind of at a loss that something like this would be posted on Zilvia.

Sounds like the OP is trying to get someone to do his homework for him.

naw im employee A or B. Im trained up on what needs to be done (not gonna talk about what I do, not really important) and im not in that "authority" as you say... but my boss says hes gonna try to make a schedule but if i could think of anything to let him know... so i figure if i could come up with something it would look better on me than the other guys. gotta get ahead ya know. and using all resources possible. If i dont come up with one, no harm done..and zspool... its under the off topic chat. chill out brah.

please enlighten me on stupid threads. I didn't know asking a question or posting a rear seat delete (ok... I didnt post up the finished pictures) was something bad.

Are you going to give me 100% of your pay if I do this for you since I'm doing your job?
If not, go away.

This is one of the more retarded posts I've seen here in a while. There are so many more variables at play when creating an employee schedule. The fact that you made this thread shows you have no idea what the hell you are doing. My guess is your boss wants to see what you come up with either because hes, A) Lazy, B) Wants a good laugh, or C) All of the above.

So here's what I've been observing... Everyone on this forum is a complete ass hat. Except for silviastunter who wished me good luck. I posted it asking for help because to be honest, no.. I don't make schedules, it's not part of my job and I don't have experience doing it. I work for a contractor and his plate is often full so I was attempting to help out. That's why I asked this "stupid question." Funny thing is, I don't know why everyone's a hater here? I'll just stick to nico where some people actually have common courtesy. Oh and FYI about the job... It's nothing special. Just pays 5x minimum wage. That's why I threw out the comment to the unwanted hero guy about his job. Call me a dick. But apparently everyone can be one on the Internet. More than likely tho in real life y'all are just a bunch of pussies with a keyboard. Congrats on succeeding at life. I'll just be on my redneck way. See y'all around.

Is it really that hard? Everyone works 6 shifts and you're always covered with either A or B. Smart thing to do would be to cross train C to do what A/B can do.
Day Num 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Employee A A A A A A B B B Employee C C C B B B C C C |

Anytime you gotta compare your job to minimum wage, you've already lost the battle. BTW, my offer still stands. I'd gladly use your whole paycheck to fill up my truck for the week.

I'm curious on how the thought process on this post being made happened?i have a job scheduling to do and instead of you writing it down on paper and seeing if you can figure it out you decided to ask on a forum deticated to s-chassis/nissan?
