95 240sx window Amp SUCKS!
Im on my third window amp. First is orginal off my 95, then I bought one off another 95 that one blew also. Then I ordered one off a s13 from Ebay, that one didn't even work. Now I have to buy a new one. I have tried looking at the Amp Repair stuff but it doesn't look like my amps are bad. (though Im no electrician) I get the clicking sound. Tired of these stupid electrical problems. Its not my switch because it has done this before. Just stupid how I have 3 window amps sitting in front of me and not a single one works... :/ anyone know of a good place to buy oem window amp. Not dealership price? Thanks

Ha yeah I figured that out after the first one went out. I dont trust buying electronics at junkyards. Most of the shit there is old and beat up. I paid $80.00 for a used MAF and it didn't work. Mofos wont refund.

I'm not sure if it's true or not but I read somewhere it's because the window switch is stuck on down burning out the amp.

i think its just a pretty common issue, i had to replace mine once and now my window motor just went out. so thats getting fixed up.
ill try the not rolling the window down all the way tho. |

So when you push down all the way on the window button to roll down the driver side window the window rolls all the way however the button never springs back into place so the window will be all the way down but since the button is still stuck in the down position it keeps telling the window amp to roll down the window and burns out. You can keep buying amps but they will continue to burn out with a bad window switch. You can also TEMPORILY roll the window all the way down but then press the button up so it doesn't stay stuck in the down position but why keep dealing with the hasstle. Find a good window switch. |
