hey dave! doesnt ur car have an airbag?? (other than u :biggrin:) i dont think those r marketed here in the states as security device....?? race cars, yes. most cars from late 80s up have airbags here (they came out  as early as mid 70s!!) maybe some of the Cali guys see em...??

ooooo you cheeky bastard <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

I know i`ve seen them somewhere.
Seems a really good security step to me.
How they gonna pinch my sx if its got no steering wheel?
Plus everyone stirs at me anyway (no not cos i loo like a freek) so i wanna see their faces when i walk away from the car with a sports steering wheel in my hand <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
Probably beat me to a pulp for bein a poser <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

well, even beyond insurance, I think it's illegal to remove a safety devise from your car other than for offroad purposes. at least in CA.

yup...illegal to remove federally regulated safety devices ie airbags. there is a loophole which allows the passenger airbag to be switched so u can disable it, but not the drivers, and u still cant remove it! &nbsp;

31 years later i`m sitting here in womens suspenders juggling mice with my toes and posting on zilvia.net

its is completely illegal to tamper with safety equipment. &nbsp;taking out an airbag is a massive fine.

yeah it does mate.
I`d sooner have a clip off though.
I treasure the front of my s14a like i treasure a work of art so the likelyhood of me needing an airbag for a frontal smash is remote.
Plus if i do smash that front up i`ll hope i DONT survive <img src="http://www.zilvia.net/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>
