'90 240 fastback.

I just spent one and a half hours trying to install my reverse indiglo gauges and I'm exhausted. I could drop the panel below the steering column all except for one tab on the left that seemed to be wedged into the trim. I managed to get the dimmer mounted. I tried getting the gauge cluster out - I'm told you don't have to drop the steering column. Dismal failure, I can't get the damn thing off.

Anyone have any advice on how to do this without breaking anything?

Thanks!
Chase

Update: I can't believe I didn't think to remove the damn steering wheel. I guess I was just hoping to avoid trouble.

Still, any tips anyone can provide would ROCK.
