Ok first I thought it was an exhaust leak. Only when I'm driving do I hear this clicking sound and some kind of vibrating heat shield. So I plugged the muffler and followed the pipe all the way to the header and found no leaks. When idling the car does not make the clicking sound even if you rev the engine...only when driving...Is it possibly the transmission?? I dont think it is though because the car shifts fine. But I cannot think of what else would be making this sound..AHHHH <img src="#/f/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/crazy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':crazy:'>

Does it make sounds, especially when you go over bumps or potholes? The sound is distinctively "metallic" or "tinny"? I would guess the cat heat shield.

My car is also making a ticking sound that is not mechanical. I need to crawl under it this weekend and start tighting up and/or removing potential suspects.

The sound is just there when driving. It doesn't take any bumps or anything. You really hear it when accelerating. I fixed the vibrating heat shield but this weird clicking is still there.

Can you tell where the sound is comming from? like, engine bay, under you, beside you, behind you?  near a wheel?
