fawk man I flipping LOVE techno! hard banging punishing 909 drums of fury techno. not trance. not house. not gabber. I mean I like some tracks in those styles but man there isnt much that get me going besides a good set of hard banging techno, adam beyer, surgeon, mills, armani, bletram, bones, space djz, the advent, oh man the list goes on and on. I used to DJ a lot but the local scene went sour and sold out, became a bar/beer scene and nobody cares about the music anymore. blah. I used to do live PAs with a buddy, hard techno and hard tech-house with a bit of acid or minimal groove to it, man we had a shitload of fun.

anyone remember Gravitational Arch of 10 from Vaporspace? hahaha he lived a few apartments down from me for a few years, super nice dude and wow he had some great stories of the early days, on tour with Moby and how Hawtin is a money hungry asshat... (stole) /sampled spoken word recordings by a local artist for the infamous "so then I blew out the candle" samples on the early Plus8/NovaMute stuff but of course Hawtin goes postal if anyone even records his live sets, wtf, hypocrite.

lol @ the cartoon on trance and rockstar dj's, thats so true. I miss throwing 500 person underground inexpensive music-quality-focused raves, those were the good days.

I havent hgeard some of those dj names in years man.. I C you know what you are talking about.. I used to love Joey Beltram and Jeff Mills, Armani...just havent heard them lately..
i still love Marco Carolla, and Adam Beyer...and Rush.. and basically anything german oriented!!!

Carl Coxx was great ..his music always has a new twist..

It was craaaaazy. Even though I didn't get to do ANYTHING but Ultra, I Still had a blasty blast.
Miami vibe is SO different from the SoCal Rave Vibe.
Over there, everyone is chill, and dances alllll day long.
There was plenty of drugs floating around, I noticed this the 2nd day after Gabe mentioned it, but there wasn't people completely zoned out and just staring at you.
ahahah, no shitty cuddle puddles in the middle of the dance circles.
There was some great dancers there too, damn. These Europeans don't fuck around when it comes to houuuse.

SO DAMN FUN !
The Weather was PERFECT, couldn't ask for any better setting.
Dancing in the middle of a packed crowd and having the breeze blow by is JUST INDESCRIBABLE.

Nice meeting you Gabe, too.
Unfortunately we didn't get to chill, my friend is such a fucking vibe killer. UGH.
But for sure, Zilvia needs a meet in the next masssive.

I ended up not seeing
anygood djs outside of Ultra..exept for DNB dj's..

which sucked because i wanted to see a bunch..but the people i went to visit only listened to dnb so we ended up going to what they wanted to see...
sucks.. but i learned a lesson for next time..lol gettign my own place...

It ws great to see a lot of popping and locking..and breakdancers..I dont see too many here in LA.
I am going to EDC for sure.. i always go.. anyone else?

she should use a loop in the middle finger and wrap around the open hand then close the tips of the fingers, so it works as a spring! and doesnt hurt!

hahahaaaaaaaa thanks man, glad you can appreciate where I'm coming from. I'm an oldschooler for sure, dj'ing since '92, wait, lol, damn I'm that old,?!?!?! wtf, its not 1996 anymore? DAMN IT! Just recently Ive been dusting off my records and getting back to my roots (good music = happiness!!!). I'm building an 808 clone to dj with a drummachine on hand but I cant wait unitl I sell my LS1FC... gonna buy the studio gear I need to get back into producing and then do some live techno/acid/house/electro again.

I kinda do..but not much..cuz I get to listen to that stuff everyweekend..in the LA clubs..mostly (red) parties..
BT always spins at club heaven and Red in los angeles..he was here last year at least 4 times..and this year at least 1 time..
