**SOLVED!!** OMFG I need SERIOUS HELP!! KA24DE wont idle
KA24DE
COMPLETE Emissions delete Hot cam swap with Jim Wolf Adjustable cam sprockets Full exhaust headers back S14 Intake Ok, so I installed this engine and Ive been tracking down the gremlins one by one so far with some success. yesterday it was running 95% Last night I cleaned the fuel pump screen after hearing that it could be a problem. I had just replaced the fuel filter (it was BAAADD) it was the biggest gremlin of them all. so I thought the screen could be a bit clogged as well. cleaned it, put it back. started around the block....MAJOR improvement ....for like half a block :..( now its WORSE Now it wont even idle. I popped the hood immediately noticed the ac fan wire was snagged on a engine cooling fan blade which was preventing it from spinning!!!!! i secured the wire but now the cooling fan blade wont even spin. I'll need a new fan clutch for sure. I unplugged the MAF and it'll idle in limp mode. Any ideas?? Last edited by S13.5F; 07-21-2015 at 10:28 PM.. Reason: Solved the problem |

Ok so got a few views no responses.
today I installed an aftermarket adjustable FPR.....Getting fuel pressure. One more thing I found out....Cylinder 1 isn't firing. checked: Plugs, compression, spark, wires, swapped injectors, checked the harness connector for continuity, everything is in working order but still nothing on cyl 1. Its getting fuel, spark, and compression but not firing. weird Anyone have this issue? |

If the MAF is working the car should idle...Try looking for vacuum line issues...
My car without the MAF was in limp mode...Without correct vacuum lines would not idle, but I could drive..with correct lines was like butter.. Good luck Ch Sent from my SM-N900V using Tapatalk |

**SOLVED!!** When I did the emissions removal I JB welded the ports at the bottom of the upper intake plenum. Well I guess cylinder number 1's port JB weld broke open. this caused a massive vacuum leak and the fuel from the injector was getting sucked out of that hole causing cylinder one not to fire. So now the car runs normal and cylinder 1 is fully operational.
