KA ka-t tuning help

Hi guys,

I am trying to tune my ka-t on nistune and am a little unsure about the timing map. So far, I have tried to pull 3/4 of a degree per psi of boost. Basically I need to know how much timing should i pull per psi to have it be safe but still make power? and what load scale equals what amount of boost? I was looking at other people's ka-t timing maps and they seem to have much more timing pulled throughout the whole map, even in vacuum. My setup is an s14 ka, automatic OBD II ecu (1996), t28 turbo, and 370cc injectors. I just want to know if I am doing this right so I don't mess up my motor

Here is the link to my map: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4...HJlMzk2UnplWVU

Thanks

I searched around there a lot, but I'm getting a lot of mixed information. I guess my biggest question is simply, how do I keep the car at 0 psi so I can record the TP index? I read that others have just floored the car in 5th gear while going 30mph. Is this not damaging to the engine?

Internal gate- remove the wastagate arm
external gate- remove the spring or disable the valve somehow

it will run like an N/A engine

As to timing- start with around 9* btdc of timing at 15-18psi of boost when using 93 octane. Interpolate that to 0psi region slightly less than N/A timing (around 20-22* of timing at 0psi, with 15-18* through peak torque region).

Then, take it to a dyno and add a couple degrees. If it picks up a significant amount of torque due to 2 extra degrees (perhaps 5 to 10% in torque) then you made a good move. Otherwise, reduce it back to where it was.

When I hit 8 psi my load goes up to 167. Why is this? If i try to lower the k const to lower it down, the car runs too lean. What am i missing here. I do not have feature pack btw. that means no total injection multiplier, just k constant.
