Most people do the over fenders when they receive quarter panel damage. They see it as the cost effective solution to cover up those crinkled panels. This means they often fall in that "cheap ass" category because they are not looking to spend the coin to have a professional body shop fix it. These same guys doing the fenders typically have no bodywork experience. They watch a few "how too clips" on youtube and think they can slap on their $190 fenders and look like champs. Body work is very much an art that needs lots of experience and patients. The end result is the poor fitment, poor paint match and crap install methods. This would happen no matter what, if it's a $50 eBay panel or a $1,900 carbon fiber JDM yo-panel. All this squawking about "name brand/quality" is BS unless we are talking about actual metal work. Set of rear 11" 930 Steel flares are only $1000. Two bad people think $400 is baller and no one will ever make a set of dies for the 240SX. |

I think there needs to be a change. if you daily/show your car, you need to mold in the rear overs..... this is my pet peeve
if you track it, so what if your showing rivets. end story |

Anyone have any good shots of the Vertex Ridge kit on S14 Kouki? I am really considering purchasing this kit, but I cannot find many pics, outside of the green company car.

I like both. it's all in preference of the owners car. Here's mine:
metal quarters pulled. vertex 12mm front fenders (looking for oem metal front fenders, because i've cracked and fixed twice now) If something happens like if i get into an accident, or someone backs in to me, then i'll do overs. but until then FOR ME I don't see it necessary. It's nice not having to worry about the rear cracking.

Does any place sell something like this for the 240SX?
http://www.fixmyrust.com My fender lips are junk from being pulled, and I do not really want overfenders. |

I only regret buying a 240 with the rear over fenders blended. I knew they would crack eventually with body movement and temp, but oh well. Hate the color anyways! paint time
