Wow.
This has got to be one of the lamest threads ever. If you feel beat up, it's probably the combination of heat, inhaling a day's worth of tire smoke and grit, and a seat that doesn't support you enough. These things come with drifting, so man up. Except the seat, you should get a good one, it'll make a world of difference. |

Ummm try drifting at Irwindale speedway during the summertime.
That will drain you. Same with WSIR. I don't know any particular way to get yourself for that type of exhaustion other than making sure you stay hydrated throughout the day. Working out is fine, but yeah like every else said cardio. Or you could just man up like the rest of us and just deal with it. It's a motorSPORT, sometimes you might break a sweat and have to deal with exhaustion. Redbull is your friend. Lots of it. |

Learn Yoga.
Some of it might be you not being relaxed enough. Obviously there's adrenaline, but you still need to relax. I found out I was clinching my wheel (during Auto-X) really tight. My friend noticed it and brought it to my attention. Now that I'm conscience of it and more relaxed.

I would recommend against energy drinks...idk why so many ppl recommend caffeine, it gives you a false sense of awareness, you feel more awake but if youre really beat and just use caffeine you'll find that your reaction time and reflexes are garbage....caffeine doesnt help to make you any sharper so really the only best solution is exercise a good diet and sleep. ( you will be amazed at how much better and energized you feel once you drop all the junk out of your diet)
to all those who are just saying "man up" do you realize that professional drivers do infact work their asses off in the gym?? So this is a totally valid thread and question. the fact that its titled "drifters workout" makes it seem a little corny but he's asking a good question. A lot of the pro F1 drivers travel with workout equipment...they have stationary bikes on their trailers etc....Theres a documentary on a lot of those guys and they talk about their insane workout scheduel.....simply If you are in better shape you can take physical and mental exertion ( which driving certainly is) for a longer amount of time....now drifting is slightly different because its not a race so you actually have time to get out and grab a water or whatever but for the dudes who are in long races its crucial that they are in peak physical form, ones your muscles get fatigued your mind is focusing on keeping everything in sync and fighting off exhaustion which is mentally draining....its like football camp, at first even though you might be in shape by the end of the day your mind is just sludge, your hand eye coordination is trash and you cant think clearly but you train and train till you can perform the same tasks without being exhausted and suddenly even tho you are doing the same things you were in week one its much clearer and you arent as tired out on the field |

Sex the morning of/right before any event is key. I play hockey as a goalie. I know I can focus so much easier if I have gotten laid right before a game. There was also this tv show the performed at test on an athlete and found that his strength, stamina and endurnce was increased right after sex.

I actually went to a much quieter exhaust and ditched my aftermarket header (KA) and found that it helped with fatigue. Not to mention it saves you the pain of listening to exhaust drone for 3 hrs on the way to and from the track and you may just be able to listen to music and hold a conversation. Yea I know, I am a pussy.
+1 on the staying well hydrated and rested and no to the energy drinks. |

I saw him in an airport once. I was traipsing around during a 5 hour layover and I hear <obscenely gay voice> "ohmiGawd I'm ssssssssso late I have to get to my plane" </obscenely gay voice> and there he is, flouncing along right next to me, in the spandex shorts and tight "R" t-shirt and huge fro. I stopped dead in my tracks with my mouth agape as he walked away, I couldn't believe it.
Only famous person I'd ever seen, it was kinda sad. Then I worked at a restaurant where Sean Paul and Ludacris both came in to eat (on different occasions). It was interesting to me that neither of them were very tall. Also, Sean Paul is a shitty tipper. Supposedly Mariah Carey and her entourage were supposed to come in one time, but never showed. Wait, what was this thread about? Get more exercise and man up. =P |
