Broken Front Sway Bar Stud S14
Whats up Zilvians...
Need some help here, I found one mod already where the user literally cut out the side section and replaced the bolt/stud. On my front sway bar, the stud towards the front of the car snapped off and now im looking at the broken end. My question is has anyone ever fixed this? Is it a stud that I can spin out? Thanks |

Thank you, I was thinking that but I have never see whats inside the rail. Is it simply a stud that can be drilled? or could I weld something to it and spin the stud out(maybe reverse thread)?

Has this not happened to anyone else? Just need to confirm if its a weld nut with a stud going up or if its a bolt/fastener that is welded in place with threads coming down?

i had one come loose and one snap off, i drilled out a decent sized hole then turned up a threaded 'top hat' in the lathe then welded them in to the chassis rail. i did the same for the captive nuts as they also came loose.
