That's exactly why I was thinking it may be worth it to just pay the extra $$ and get a 350z. Time will also be scarce in my schedule so having 2 projects wouldn't be best. |

The first car that I bought at 18 was a 92 hatch. It was my baby. Having owned an SR S13, an 06 G35, and now an SR Kouki, I can say the G/Z is a much better car but the S14 is a little more "fun." Long drive ahead? I grab the G every time. Feel like tearing up the back roads on a Saturday morning before the kids wake up? It's a toss up.
My current S14 falls squarely as a resto-mod project. I've had to replace all the center console pieces, the sunroof, and all the rubber seals around the doors. Original KA was a leaky, neglected specimen, and was lucky enough to get a full clip (including rear subframe) to complete the SR swap and essentially replace the full suspension with new(er) bushings. The G has been pretty much hassle free. I honestly couldn't "pick one" between the two, so we just keep both: |

Go with the kouki. 9 times out of 10 that I see a 350Z, it's bone-ass stock & being driven by an older/middle-aged poser. Sometimes even women Might as well add Scion tC, Mazda3, and VW Jetta to the list, or whatever other cars basic bitches are driving nowadays at this point.

Either that was extreme sarcasm or just ignore it because he's from failida.
Considering you have a track Miata already grab the z33 and leave it stock. Or you could do it back asswards like me and get a loan for a Z which just sits in your garage while you mod it and daily drive a beater mid 90's Subaru haha.

I say that because:
by the nature of your question you are probably young and don't want a project as the kouki will likely end up if you mod it to go fast You will probably wreck it- and koukis are becoming increasingly rare 350z is quicker out of the box If you are young you will already be paying out of the ass for car insurance on a sports car might as well get the 350z Sex appeal- girls are not gonna dig the kouki 350z's are coming down in price, a kouki 240sx is going to cost you about the same price Blah blah blah blah blah... Do what you want

When I sold my 1st s14 I didn't realize how much I missed it so I bought another and swapped an SR in it. Daily drove it for 2 years and traded it for a hooked up 350z. Then I realize how much I hated the 350z ( to big and didn't fit me like the s14) so I got another s14 kouki with an rb25 that I've been daily driving for over a year now. I've learned my lesson not letting this one go or going back to z or g cars had them both. I love my kouki we've had our moments but these cars are only as good as you make them. I go to and from work with a smile every day and the compliments and looks never stop.
