I like it, but it isn't quite right.
It looks like it is an embossed emblem of some type so it doesn't make much sense to have the letters be filled in black. If you are going for an emblem type look I would say fill it in grey and try to make it look like brushed aluminum. I like that it isn't too flashy. One thing that my web designer friends like to talk about is how too much color or wild fonts can make a page or design look really outdated and cheap.

We shoule re-do the Zilvia logo IMO. Is the only reason you want to keep the old style is because of the stickers??
We should change it to something cool. I am retarded so I couldn't come up with something if my life depended on it but I'm sure theres plenty of artful people who can make something cool. I would like to see something cool and SPL w/ a flava like this: |

I want to keep the design of that just because it gives a generalization to what the site is about. This was my first attemt so by no means is that the final product, but I wanted to get some ideas from everyone. I would be open to someone drawing a new logo. So anyone who wants to tackle that, please do!
I have made the Boostaholic.org Logos with a more metal look to them but that is because I have the font to type it with. Just a bit harder to work with the Zilvia logo since its a image. That is the main reason its still black, when I get to my laptop @ home I will play with metal looks for the zilvia logo, should be easy. Here is the Boostaholic.org Logos... there Seeexy, maybe boring for some, but thats what the website design will take care of. |

I think the logo is put together well. It looks clean and that's important. It's amazing what a few effects can do for something so simple as text.
There's an example of the logo I made for my Team at www.team-legacy.org it's the splash page but also our decals. The splash page image sucks because I didn't turn the logo into a vector image, and that would have made it real smooth. Oh well. Since the logo you just made is the same as the decals, it's worth keeping. |

this is a tad off but Legacy how much is it for you to have that website for your team.
As far as the Logo goes. why not back it in Japanese Characters?

I like it. Its subtle and clean, its not too flashy and outlandish. It also matches stickers that are already on people's car and matches the forum's color scheme(which is very easy on the eyes I might add). The only constructive criticism I can add is to make the black center of the period larger and to add a blur background such as in our current logo. Since this logo is longer and sleeker than our old one, perhaps It could run the entire length of the page at the top.
Things I would not like to see the logo changed to: Anything with Japanese characters, or Anything bright and flashy, but thats just me. -Matt

my sister is a graphic designer a really good one too(graduated from VT #1 in her major, and claimed to be the best its ever walked through VT's doors) anywho... she could come up with something really kick ass. She could have one made within a week, i'm sure she'd do it for free, since me, her loving little brother, is always there for her. :P yeah, but west, what do you think? i'll tell her about it tonight if you're up for it?

Yeah, let's have japanese katakana ala Imuporuto Chuna...yeah that would be a great idea. Real fresh.
As for the guy with the sister, you've got to educate her about the cars and what West is trying to represent with the logo. |

SilviaDriver - dats just beautiful.. hehe, i mean boa.. i mean..
Sooo West, the logo looks ok i guess, too shiney and glossy, and its all round.. more edges i think.. maybe a backdrop also? ill try some stuff at home.. i think we should all pitch in and pull somethin out of our ***, if its not nice, at least it will be an idea. ps, no japanese letters plz, no ones gonna be able to read it.. and im sure we all agree its tacky |

The message board I believe is also free. Not just to us, but everyone. I didn't have a connection with that. Webspace doesn't really cost all that much for a small application. |

It looks good, but the black needs to be shinier to match the reflection off the chrome edges. I think it looks cool....like brushed aluminum inlaid with gloss black paint (yours is flat black currently). It reminds me of an old school badge from a muscle car. What ever you do, keep the "Silvia" style font....its cool and matches the stickers. You may also try photoshopping a smoked layer over the chrome and filling the inside with blood red.
