240sx s13 ka 24de won't start after sitting for 2 months...
So I left my car to sit for 2 months during winter with a full tank of fuel with fuel stabilizer. Go to start it and it cranks , kinda want to ignite but it won't run. 1993 nissan 240sx ka24de.
Got a new fuel pump walbro. Got sparks in all 4. Self diagnosis reads code 55 " everything is good " Battery is good, even try to boost with another car. Took the old spark plugs out, they were wet , put in new spark plugs. Still doesn't go. Anyone got any suggestions what it could be? There was 2 loose plugs that was on the harness that was running towards the injectors so I plugged them back in. Still not working. Unsure what it's for thou. Thanks in advance. |

re-check those new plugs and make sure they aren't fouled. then check your grounds. Especially the one from the battery -> Tray -> Manifold.
You can eliminate MAF issue by unplugging it. I had an SR MAF go bad on me during a swap, ran fine before i pulled motor, and took a shit after i got it in the new car. Double check your alternator wiring, make sure the connections are secure on the back. I would pull your battery terminals and clean them up really good |

PROBLEM SOLVED!
So the ground from the battery to the tray to the manifold. The contact point on the tray was rotten. So I got another ground cable going the the chassis. The spark plug wires was also replaced because it was loose when I push them onto the spark plugs. Also I properly disconnected all 4 injector plugs and try to fire the car at least like 7 times to burn up the fuel that was inside each cylinder. It was flooded for sure! It definitely runs on the flooded fuel for like 2 seconds and then gives out. After that, there was still some slight bit of fuel inside the cylinder with the burnt oil crust. So I put some quick start into my air filter box, plugged all 4 injector back in. Fired her up with a full battery charge and IT RUNS!! It was honestly a dumb mistake that I did when I try to start her up for the first time with a drain battery, loose IACV sub harness. That was probably what caused the cylinder to get flooded with fuel after a few tries. Anyhow, Thanks everyone for the help, definitely a lot of help here. I can finally ditch my shitty civic lol !! Have a good one! |

Can someone help me too!
My car started up fine then after 5 months on jackstands into changing the clutch and powersteering. Also for waiting on parts and stuff I needed. I tried to start the car, cranks but no fire up. Battery charged, ignition running, distributor is timed, sparks everything working. Looking into my ECU code says 55, at first I thought it was my ECU. Haven't look into it. But I thought I should try to figure out what could be else. Plus I live in Arizona so dry heat. Also, i am planning to get an OBD cord an computer. Just ugh I miss driving it. https://www.google.com/search?q=nissan+ecu+code+55 Your car does not have OBD2; It's pre 1995. You'd need a Consult port if you want to communicate with the ECU. That isn't necessary though, you can do your own troubleshooting without it just fine. |
