13b in an s14

Has anyone ever considered dropping a 13b into an s14?

I was thinking and wondering about it. Wouldn't the motor sit really far back and weigh next to nothing?

I just wanna see what everyone thinks about that idea.

I've looked on the net but can't really find anything on it.

have you tried working on a 13b? have you seen what they look like? or know how loud they are? or even know how to repair one?

The weight does not really matter when you can just make more power.

Unless you already know how to work on one... trying to find a competent mechanic to work on it is not so easy... unless you don't mind learning everything. Good luck finding parts.

For the amount you save on the engine, the amount you spend on labor and trying to figure it out... you will spend as much or more than a rb25/ 1j setup.

haha unless you do the FD 13b it prolly wouldnt be worth a damn, i myself owned a 91 vert rx7 and shit had no power even the 13b TII seems to be lacking low end torque. so its kind of a stupid swap. plus to replace any interal parts you need to buy an entire rebuild kit to do it. which is about $800 in itself plus the parts your wanting to put in. definatly not worth it. and yes very very very loud lol.

Garage BOSO has tried but did not get finished... Frank told me they ran out of $ for completion.

why go for trouble if there are SR RB and other options are available ?

Anything can be done with money and CNC machine lol.

IMHO, The only time 13B are worth swapping in the N/A form are for race cars. Look at dynos and the powerbands on them are so peaky and start waaayy to high to be a street car.

13BT or TT. Now your talking. IDk about gas milage though. Heard/read it was crap for N/A well for it was worth anyway. So i cant imagine a turbo platform being much better, lol.

Turbo models w/trans are around the weight of a complete SR....

Nice rides..id like to see specs on them but im guessing those pics are from a quick trip to google.com

Uh, 13b FC and 13b FD is basically the same engine.

Yeah rotaries are so hard to work on with all their moving parts<\sarcasm>

DEFINED AUTOWORKS is the place to go for this kind of swap.
Here is one of their cars: How Defined does a 35r 2 rotor!! - RX7Club.com

good luck with your potential build and don't listen to these haters
