MachineTune track day 3 WSIR Balcony Date June 8th, 08
REGISTRATION OPEN!!!
PAID PRE-REGISTRATION IS ONLY $100 TILL SATURDAY, May 10th (PAY $100 NO LATER THAN SAT), after that its $120. Sorry for being MIA, but we're just feeling settled into our new location (we moved the first of the year to a location w/a 4 wheel in house dyno). Machinetune's throwing a Drift/gymkana style track day. We're gonna go with a layout that'll allow fwd as well as 4wd cars get out there and still allow for drifting. No competition as this will maximize seat time further (no more down time for judging). This event is @ Willow Springs Raceway's BALCONY track. To enter Willow Springs International Raceway: $10 (Drivers and Spectators) To compete: $120 (includes BBQ plate and refreshments) yes there will be Eric's Mom's BBQ chicken as well as burgers and hotdogs. BBQ plate and Refreshments: $10 (Spectators) Maximum drivers: 25 Morning will consist of three courses: a donut and figure 8 section as well as the J turn w/schikane at the back end of the track. After lunch the course will be a modified 'ring' that will allow beginners to take an easier line (cut through some cones) as well as test more advanced drifters abilities while 'pulling' the FWD and 4WD cars around the track. Payment could be made in CASH or certified check at our new location MACHINE TUNE 505 E. Rosecrans Ave. Gardena, CA. 90248 (310)866-1911 Ali (310)779-4539 Eric Contact Ali or Eric at the above for more information. Thanks, and be safe out there! Thanks for coming out to our past event! Glad you enjoyed the chicken, its actually my (Eric's @ MACHINETUNE) mom's childhood friend's secret family recipe. It'll be there @ the next event. Also, for those that made our last event, let us know if there's anything you think we can improve on (it was our first time throwing an event), as we want to have our events to be among the best, if not the best, out there for amateurs to have fun and improve their drifting.
Also, we're starting our driver's list, so Nismogirl, get in touch w/ us so we can get your contact info for the list. Thanks |

Wow, regardless of all the bullshit socal goes through with modified cars, we're getting really lucky to have a lot of cool people throw all these events. Woot!

SoCal... you dont know how lucky you are with all the events you get. We get all the BS with modified cars to0, but we dont get much track time if any here in NorCal. What is the driver limit on this event? If i get my car done in time, I'll enter.

the max will be 30. as long as drivers are on time, there shouldn't be a shortage of seat time. Practice will continue through lunch if more than 25 drivers enter see original post for more info. hope your ride is done in time! be good to get some norcal drivers out @ willow.
glad you'll be driving our next event briofett, hopefully MACHINETUNE's s14'll be ready too... otherwise i'ma need to borrow yo'ride to compete!!! jk glad you ate well yoni_nismo... Last edited by MachineTune; 08-20-2007 at 12:13 PM.. |

I think its fair that eric drives stans car if stan uses the '14 auto. I also think its fair if everyone signing up with "nismo" in their ZIlvia name gets to add their points together.
great event though, everyone got seat time and nobody wrecked/fell out= medijon happy! can't wait for the next one Mad props to Machine Tune |

DP Michelle, there are about 20 spots still available. If you don't want to compete, you can still get the seat time if you pay the Comp fee. You'll get all the track time other entrants get, including the competition laps, only you wouldn't be judged. Our judges will actually curve the comp, based on car's set-up and driver skill (ex. a first timer doesn't need to initiate the drift as early as more experienced drivers. They'll base their assumptions on the practice runs... no sandbagging tho!!!). So I don't think there's a reason you shouldn't keep yourself in the running for some prizes.
gotta240, prize info has been updated in original post... in a nutshell, yes. you that confident in making top three? me too. hope to see you out there... i'm tryin to put our track car together before our event, so hopefully i'll see you on the track too! |
