I wouldn't get my hopes up for a CRAZY amount like in MvC 2. A lot of those character sprites were re used for 2 (Remember the first one didn't have many characters). I would think that since they have to build all new models, the character count would be closer to 30 then anything else...

I would prefer like 40-50 but balanced, I think more than 50 is a lot, especially since people are only using around 10 at the most the majority of the time in mvc2. I love mvc1 I still play that all the time on ggpo.

I would hope for 30 well balanced characters.

The reason people only use 10 characters is because those are the most wildly unbalanced and over powered characters. The powerful characters should be hard to use and easy to beat when not utilized properly(a la Geese from CvsS).

I am very afraid that this will go the way of street fighter 4. While it is very easy to get this game right, it is also very easy to get it wrong.

I'm not too worried about this. I think a lot of people were going bat shit crazy when SF4 was announced. "OMG it's 3D, WTF Capcom?!?" and "Ugh this isin't 3's". In the end, it turned out well...Oh and get hyped for Super SF4 next week!

I think that has to do with fanboyism. After play time with it, IMO it is not worth the rating to me. I would give it a 7.

There is a review that gives a good explanation of how I feel, I will try to find it later on.
