yet another tps?
I searched i tested my only question is this ( 93 ka24 btw)
when testing probes for closed throttle i get 1.1 ohms vs. FSM says should be 2 partial i get 4-5 ohms vs. FSM says 2-10 5 at half throttle (This is ok) fully open i get 9.2 ohms vs. FSM says 10 so obviosly im low about 1 ohm on closed throttle and fully open throttle Is such a slight variation enough to cause the drastic hesitation/bogging in acceleration my car started having? Throttle Sensor body output voltage checked and is 4.45volts which i almost ideal...(fsm =0.45 – 0.55 volts) i just want to make sure this ones bad before i go and buy a new one. (btw changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, fuel filter,) does the ecu have to be reset after adjusting the TPS? |

How does your car react with this TPS?...Im having the same issue and i can really use your finding if we're having the same problem.
My car could not hold a steady REV until after 4K. but idles perfect...so when i try to hold the RPM at 2500 for example, it would sit there for a few second then would drop..then back up again.

idles pretty good but if parked under zero load i can rev it up completely under half throttle but as soon as i rev it full throttle it just bogs and wont likely pass 2-3k rpms.
ONLY under full throttle opened will it do this. driving the car it bogs/ low power. backfires a bit until you reach like 2500 rpms then it runs good |

okay so i tried another tps and its doing the same thing ( parts store told me a altima 5-spd is the same)
when i test the resistance during closed throttle it gives me 1.12 and the value should be 2... so is this too low? |

Bump
Any1 have experience with this? Disconnect tps works for 5 min then acts up, disconnect again works 5 minutes then acts up...on and on. Does ecu readjust it or something or could it be my throttle body Please need this asap |

update pulled codes and im getting
34 knock sensor 43 throttle position sensor 11 camshaft position sensor. i just changed my throttle position sensor from my working 94 s14 and still nothing so possibly camshaft position sensor? Am I correct in saying the camshaft sensor is in the distributor? So if it is bad then I must change the entire distributor? I saw something on nico but it's sorta confusing..simplified explanation please. Last edited by screaming6; 12-30-2010 at 05:13 PM.. |
