Bonjour
All the aero looks the same... I got origin because it looks the most different, but it still looks the same just without the foglight cutout.

came from an S14. My impressions after switching over, car is drastically underpowered for its weight, bushings are first things to be replaced, dash lights always go out, doors are heavy as sh!t, plenty of aftermarket support, i'd say modding this car is about the same as an S14, GTE motors easy to swap, NA-T platform is easily done, the front end is a lot longer than the S chassis so i scrape a lot more, and i get pulled over way less than i did in my S14.
This is my 2nd SC300 and although i miss the S14 i don't think i'd ever switch back. |

The SC has tons of bushings for the suspension linkages for that oh so desirable luxury feel. All is cool, until time starts taking effect and those bushings start to dry out and deteriorate.
When that happens, you are left with a floppy ultra boat of a car. S-chassis do not have this problem as bad, so the steering will feel tighter. On an Sc is is almost a must to change the bushings out. And the needles do not use bulbs, so you will need to buy new needles which are about $100 for a full set that one dude on the forums is doing. The HVAC will start to go out as well. Then the door linkages need to be redone. Pretty much, Sc's need to first be made stock and reliable more so than a S-chassis. As for parts, try to buy everything Supra that will fit, that way you aren't stuck paying Lexus bullshit markup. So for people wanting to get an sc3/400, if you can't afford to keep your S-chassis running in at least oem shape, please don't try and move onto something which needs a little bit more care.

as soon as i get the manual swap out of the way and get myself another Audi or subaru for daily and winter driving I'm going to start piecing together a stock big power motor swap.
3UR-FE 5.7L v8 347hp 401 ftlb tq can also get the 3ur-FBE which is factory E85 model. With the right gearing this thing would be a monster and reliable as fuck cause its a bone stock truck motor |

I think I have figured out how to get around the ECU throwing codes.
I'm having a lot of trouble finding a fairly priced w58. Keep finding them in complete swap sets for Sc300 but don't have the money to buy the entire thing and be stuck with a whole bunch of shit I don't need. Clutch pedals are impossible to find used as well |

my mom has a 08 Toyota Sequoia with the 3UR-FE in it. that thing is a MONSTER in that 7,300lbs suv. and i've seen those tested anywhere from a high 14 to low 13. take about 4,000lbs off that and you have a SC3/4 and from what i've read it seems that the 3UR-FE is all aluminum. oh man i wish i had the kind of money and time to do such a thing.

It will show how shitty all of your bushings are more prevalently.
I haven't had a chance to buy/modify the PBM subframe and diff bushings. That would help cut back on the shifty rear end feel that I have. Then all it would leave me to change is the LCA bushings. But even a 2 way would give the same feeling since there is more resistance. Might as well do it.

They honestly don't look that good in stock form. They Need 70mm spacers OEM from the factory - Hoovercraft!
Needs aero and really the only Aero is vertex and of course everyone- even the Widebody ridge kit is Meh to me. BN Sports can look good though too.
