s13 Just want to clarify the Z32 5 speed Transmission

I saw a NA Z32 5 Speed tranny at the junkyard that im considering pulling. I did a little research and to my understanding both the NA and TT Z32 5 speed transmissions (RS5R30A) are the same. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me before I go pull it from the junkyard?

Not quite the same due to the TT flywheel being larger. You have to grind off about 1-2mm (from the bellhousing) to get it to clear. Not a huge deal but for simplicity's sake it's easier to find a TT transmission.

^Yup...

Just got done putting an NA tranny onto my VH using a TT flywheel/clutch. Had to hand file the starter area and the bottom of the inside of the bell housing. The starter area/hole was the major filing. The NA bellshousing has like little knobs on the inside and there was just a little bit of interference that I filed them all flat.

B/s

The bell housings are different by inner diameter.

The 90-96 trannies all had the same syncros, it wasn't until '98 that Nissan updated the syncros on them.
