Would this be something you were interested in?

So there is a user on another forum i frequent that has been making a type of display device for knock, wideband, and boost with a built in boost controller. I want one for my car, and im interested if it would be worth it to attempt to bring it to the S chassis. Currently his design works with obd1 and mitsubishi mut protocols, but i am trying to see if he would be willing to work with me to make it compatible with the obd1 s chassis.

Basically it displays boost, knock, and can get a signal from a wideband o2 sensor. It also functions as an ebc using an aem solenoid. you can also scroll through other engine paramaters that are available through obd. im not entirely sure how difficult it would be to make it compatible, as i havent recieved a reply from the creator yet. Im not trying to sell anything, just gauging interest to see if this would be worth attempting.

I believe the color is adjustable also.

here are a few pics

I think it could catch on for sure, but the price point is where you will get Zilvian's interested.

Remember there is the AEM Truboost and the Powered By Max engine Vitals meter and things like that.

This would be cool tho!

So the guy replied to me. He said it should be pretty easy to adapt to a nissan obd protocol, we just need information about it. I tried searching but no dice, does anyone have information about how nissan handles obd1?

I think i managed to find the information he needs, looks like the following link has all the consult port information. if anyone has any other links that would help relating to the consult port datastream, or protocols, it would be greatly appreciated. here is what i sent him.

So the guy said it should be pretty easy to adapt it for use with the consult port, meaning pretty much any older nissan should be compatible. im not sure if its something he wants to market or not, but i personally cant wait for him to finish mine.

boost controller, wb02 gauge, boost gauge, and complete infocenter all in one. he also said it can be programmed to cut boost under a lean condition, or if the knock count goes to high, also said that it can cut boost if connected to a meth injection fluid level sensor. This thing really is awesome, a bunch of the 3000gt guys are already using them with no issues.

yeah thats a pretty sweet setup. keeps it clean on the interior too.

but if it can only be adapted to the consult port then a lot of swapped 240's would be ass out considering they normally aren't wired up completely.

a trip to the junkyard and connecting a few wires is all it takes for a consult port as far as I know. Its stupid easy.
