sr20de piston rings vs sr20det piston rings

ive read a few FAQ's on some forums and cant quite seem to get a straight answer? some say sr20de rings are thinner than sr20det, some say they've used 300zx TT rings- just seeing if anyone out there has measured and or thrown a set of sr20de piston rings in their sr20det and if they've had any problems or what the difference is? thanks any input would be greatly appreciated

Any particular reason you ask?

Run the DET rings if it is going in a DET...

I ask cuz I've always wondered, and maybe parts are the same outr of the motors, 86mm bore and 86mm stroke, many say they are the same. Wanted someone with hard evidence. I realize det and de are different as far as little things but very similar.

thank you thats what i was after just wanted to know for sure, as you know the DET rings are $120+ but you can get a set of the OEM rings or hastings or a decent set of rings for 1/3 the cost- i realize overall the OEM nissan ring will be my best bet! The sr20de ring is far more less than a "sr20det" set of rings
