As far as "oldSchool" being better hip hop. Or I would say mid 90's rap. Read this article. Kinda true, kinda not, but good for a laugh. #116 Black Music that Black People Don’t Listen to Anymore « Stuff White People Like "............ If you are good at concealing laughter and contempt, you should ask a white person about “Real Hip Hop.” They will quickly tell you about how they don’t listen to “Commercial Hip Hop” (aka music that black people actually enjoy), and that they much prefer “Classic Hip Hop.” “I don’t listen to that commercial stuff. I’m more into the Real Hip Hop, you know? KRS One, Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, De La Soul, Wu Tang, you know, The Old School.” Calling this style of music ‘old school’ is considered an especially apt name since the majority of people who listen to it did so while attending old schools such as Dartmouth, Bard, and Williams College." the site is pure comedy. one of my favorite BLOG's Stuff White People Like sorry for the thread jack |

"Every few a months, a white person will put on some Jazz and pour themselves a glass of wine or scotch and tell themselves how nice it is. Then they will get bored and watch television or write emails to other white people about how nice it was to listen to Jazz at home. “Last night, I poured myself a glass of Shiraz and put Charlie Parker on the Bose. It was so relaxing, I wish I had a fireplace.” Listing this activity as one of your favorites is a sure fire way to make progress towards a romantic relationship with a white person."
lol @ "on the Bose" edit: this article speaks to me, i actually have my Wu Tang shirt on right now.

See if you can get some original beats though, maybe collab with someone and go from there.. the beats you used, people gonna compare you to the originals. Like the dudes on this forum instantly cut it off because it sounds like some guy rapping over these club songs. Wont be hard to find someone to hook you up with a beat if you dont know how. Im trying to put something together myself, produce my own beats b4 i spit on it. I got friends who want me to help them put their stuff together but Im not interested because they usually want to sound like so and so and use so and so beat.

Ok I gave a listen last night.
Now I realize this is an "underground" mixtape but the quality of it was really poor. Your voice especially was very raspy. And not in a Ja-Rule, DMX way. Like the quality of the music was low or something. I don't know jack shit about making music, just telling you what I hear. I don't care for your flow either. It's too choppy, but like unintentionally. I also didn't hear anything that caught my attention. The metaphors and word play just didn't do it for me. Honestly it sounds like the same Solider Boy style I hear on the radio constantly...the stuff that makes me change the station. But I'm just a dude on a car forum, so don't let me ruin your day or anything. Like Eric said, if you ain't hurtin anybody do what you wanna do.

^Edit Post Button?
As a person who listens to everything from Wu-tang to Nas, to ICP to Jeezy I must say this is a nice try but honestly you need work. Your flow was non-existent, much to choppy as Exitspeed said. Your lyrics could use an overhauling. Just having great lyrics would make you stand out more as a rapper since a lot of the stuff on the airwaves is simple minded. (Not saying you are) As far as beat, I would hope that you have sampled some better ones like Jay Z for instance. You mentioned several times you have more songs, so post so then. Let us see more examples of your talent. If you are trying to break into the rap game then I understand your subject matter, to quote Jeezy Quote:
