Sebastien Loeb takes home his sixth World title. Mikko Hirvonen put up a good fight but could not match Loeb's speed on day 2. He also ran into some bad luck on the penultimate stage when his hood pin broke and he had to stop and remove the hood during the stage. Hirvonen ended the season just 1 point behind Loeb in the Driver's Championship.

Dani Sordo finished 3rd; only 1 sec behind Hirvonen followed by Petter Solberg who had a great rally finishing up top with the Citroen C4.

why was it all citroens and fords? no subies or mitsus. is it a different class or something?

all the other teams dropped out due to financial issues i think...

this past season was still pretty exciting to watch considering there were only 2 works team competing. Loeb won the driver's championship by 1 pt in the last round due to a few DNFs earlier in the season.
