ps13 k's Aero drift build
After selling this ps13 2 year ago regretted it..
So with a lengthy wait finally got it back to . It's an original K's aero with electric sunroof :afro: shell itself is rust free has had some bangs but not gone beyond repair . Spec when I got it full engine rebuild by richard bradley s15 turbo with hks acquator Baffled sump (looks like Greddy) front mount intercooler blitz air filter tubular mani downpipe straight pipe from turbo back zeal coilovers cusco strut brace front and back full custom cage turbo timer fixed back drivers seat and harness white pimp wheel with boss kit huge old skool greedy boost gauge extra lock new tripple plate xtd clutch cusco two way diff (seriously aggresive) short shifter 5 stud conversion Home bound from Sligo How it looked when I had it last some pics from this time last year banged some panels and stuff onto it along with the 17" SSR SP1's Things stayed at a standstill from autumn last year until March or so 2013 picked up some stuff over winter for it I was on the lookout for a TD06 or similar after availability / Prices scared me off this came up arrived nicely snug fitted on a pallet This came out of a ps13 from Japan suspected melted piston (blowing oil out the dipstick filling catch can etc),Wont know for sure until I strip it Schhhpec Power Enterprise / IHI pe1420 Turbo braided oil and coolant lines 4 branch & Downpipe Tomei pon cams 2525lb is stamped on them nismo 550cc injectors s15 pistons Got the ECU to go with it aswel (revs out to 9200 ) Soo got the finger out and accomplished a few things the past few weeks & Bought a few things Engine stand,compressor,TE37's Origin Press line fenders, tools,HVLP gun etc etc..started welding cutting and getting a bit out of my comfort zone all learning I suppose with the attitude of it must be done. some pics of whats going on and how plans have changed and gone with fenders rather than trying to make a 1/4 panel. Quick one of the new stand going to use the cams turbo injectors etc off this engine then rebuild it as a spare. Some new wheels 17x9 et15 Te37's Fenders arrived from Japan Genuine Origin was trying to get them through Drift2 since November 2012 so that was a slight piss take when I got them from Japan in 2 weeks for less cost! quick mock up checked out how 326 would look with stoock kit and fenders undecided Gave this craic a go all welded up now nothing too stressful just a bit iffy taking the grinder to the quarter Thats about it for now ordered rivnut to do secure the quarters and have to weld on a strip of sheet between the quarter and overfender. |

So All rubbed down primed, repaired bumper, bonnet, bootlid
Painted the roof, doorjams and in around bootlid turned out ok second time round its black and shiney . Then of course disaster as always compressor decides to pack up when doing the wet top coat on the doors and quarters so works at a stand still! Wonderful! In better news got my TE37's repaired wheel doctor done a serious job turning a pair of decent TE's into a full set of 6 17x9 et12 or 15 unsure. This was one wheel before will get pics up later but its good as perfect now getting there tried on a TE37 some sunny updates pulled it out to get a look at my first attempt of painting nothing over impressive but its much better than before and cost around €250 so no complaints. bonnet and wings are not painted alot of trims and stuff to go back on still looking for vented wings Just a quick mock up Still cant decide 326 or roof and boot dmax . Leaning towards Dmax seeing as 326's seem to be alot more popular lately |

Time to power up
550's and pon cams installed put on an original red rocker cover aswel looks better imo other than that just general trim fitting and boaring stuff at the moment hopefully get at it to put on the power enterprise turbo on Sat Turbo time just installed the blower on this thing IHI power enterprise pe1420,4 branch ,braided lines & downpipe Getting closer all the time cant wait to drive it its been a long time in the making Had to do some plastic welding & bracket making to get the headlights in some wiring aswel put on the spare black wings I had for now until some frp ones come up cheapo. Chipped ecu vs stock you can see the extra board and 2 eproms soldered on to go with pon cams,z32,turbo,fmic etc came off the other engine should be ok on octane boost if not il get a power fc or nistune |

Tow wagon acquired! After looking at scrap over priced trailers and the hassle of getting a trailer licence and buying a jeep this idea made much more sense . Now just to get the car finished
Defi Time Today was a day of gauge fitting what a pain in the hole. Started off with a not working oil temp defi so stripped it to try find the problem with no luck so I resorted to splitting an inlet pressure gauge and changing the setting at the back to work as a temp gauge then fitted the temp face and voilla she worked. Some pics below |

I had been flat out up to April getting this bitch ready for debut in Mondello on Monday 14th.
Finally I got to a milestone Iv wanted to hit since I started this project. Here it is Bride seat in !! Another day balls out working with a good dose of mayhem! Busy road test with cyclist and general Saturday drivers being in the way on the roads. Got a load of new tyres and went through the ballache of putting them all on many curses and shouting was done Yokohama Advan Neova's I used on front for steering and "LingLongs" or "Livelongs" on the rear .. A load of general looking over the car was done all loose ends tightened up all fluids etc checked for leaks So this is how were looking after a wash After a year of Saturdays and evenings it was ready for the first Test/ Drift day on Monday in Mondello Sound Teaser all the complaining people do about SR's I love the sound of this So This was it locked loaded and ready to go for Mondays drift day nerves etc as always especially when I didn't know how it would go. Need to make a Tyre rack Got there all in one piece unloaded all the shit then done some of this BRAAAAP! Braaaap! Then lifted the bonnet to find masses of oil spewing out the breather set up. We Tried many different routes to get rid of the problem with some success towards the end with a make shift Orpheus that Bob Stevens suggested . Kind of ruined the day wit the thoughts of oil spewing out of the catch (bottle) and fearing harm being done it was tough to enjoy a couple of hard laps. Once home I checked a bit more into it and found non VVT SR20's running higher boost can suffer oil coming up from the crank case so I modified the breather set up to match the s14 style. Fingers crossed ! |
