s14 sr20det sputtering
well recently i have been having some problems with my car. i will be driving and the car will start to suptter and misfire really bad, the car will just fall on its face, but it wont die while im driving. and sometimes when i come to a stop the car will just shut off and if i try to start it back up it will take a a few cranks but it dosnt always start back up, sometimes i have to push start it. its intermediant so it just happens whenever. it dosent matter what gear or how fast im going. i've been reading some posts on here to see if i could find the problem, alot of people said it could be the coilpacks but i changed them and i't didnt make it any better. i think it might be a fuel issue. so does anyone know anything else that could be wrong? please help!!!!!

My car was cutting out on me in straight lines but mostly on left hand turns. I took my fuel pump out to inspect it, gave the little bag at the bottom a shake, checked the wires on the pump, and put it back in place. That fixed my problem. I am pretty sure I had the pump installed wrong. It only takes like 15 mins to take the pump out, look at it, and put it back so I'd advise doing that.
Is this a completely stock motor? List what is done to it. If you have a 255 fuel pump, no FPR and stock everything else I'd highly recommend getting a FPR and gauge and go from there. Also check ALL of your grounds and with the car idling shake all of your connections on all of your sensors. You can even give the ECU a good shake to make sure you don't have any loose connections. I just went through this crap for a little over a month, I didn't think I would fix it...just know there is light at the end of the tunnel!

yea i have a walbro 255 fuel pump, i checked my fuel pump before and one of the connections was a little loose so i saudered the wires back together, but that wasnt the problem. so them i thought the battery was going bad cause the car would take a little while to crank and sometimes it would just go dead while im cranking it, so i got a new battery and that didnt fix it either. so them finally i did a load test to my alternator and it seemed like the alternator wasnt kranking enough power. so i checked out the alternator and come to find out that there was a ground wire on the back of it that was loose. i tightened it up and it cranked up like a champ. thanks for your help
