DEI522T Trunk Solenoid Wiring Help Please
I'm trying to wire up my DEI trunk release solenoid using my Clifford alarm but I'm new to using relays so its confusing me.
My alarm's Aux trunk release wire is a (-)200ma output so just trying to figure out how this will trip the relay when I'm ready relays usually trip with a (+) trigger. Anyways I've found in another post that you wire it up like this: 85- Red/White (-)200ma from alarm 86- 12v from battery fused 30- 12v from battery fused 87a- not connected 87- to trunk solenoid But is there no ground? Does the solenoid ground work as the ground? What what amp fuses do I use for the 86 & 30? The solenoid comes with a 15amp fuse. Hopefully someone call please help me out and have done this before |

you answered your own question, you use 15a fuses for your circuit if that's what it came with.
one fuse for 12v power, make sure it's a constant 12v source which means its on when the car is not. Instead of that second positive, ground it, because your signal is negative. I believe that's how to do that.... that's why you use a fuse lol |
