S13 brake lights not working

Well, I bought a s13 coupe today, has the Silvia tail lights, but pig nose front end, was originally two tone but the dude I bought it from painted over it): and it doesn't have a sun roof. But anyway, I removed the rear seats, and the tail lights stopped working, I looked through all of the fuses and can't really figure out why it's not working. None of the fuses are blown, any one have an idea of what it could be? And if anyone has a wiring diagram, can't seem to find any. Thanks.

google... try that. if it happened after the seats were removed chances are you moved a wire or messed up a micky mouse setup that the previous owner did.

google is your friend. "silvia" tail lights?
unless i'm mistaken, the usdm s13 coupe tails are the exact same as the "jdm" tails.

there should be no relevant wiring under/around the rear seats that would cause such an issue. the wiring harness does not run under the seats. get a multimeter or power probe and start testing for proper voltage and grounds.

That happened to me with my kouki s14 a while back, but not removing my seats.
Does your tach/Speedo have power/ lights..if it doesn't then your tail lights are off also...that means its a blown fuse...well that was the case for me...its worth a try

are you talking about the brake light which comes on with the brake pedal pressed or the one when you turn on your headlight?

if its the pedal deal, from my experence the plastic tab that contacts the brake switch that falls apart creating no break lights.

Lol I hate wiring, I'll try reinstalling rear seat and see if that does anything at all, but it's weird, my hazards will come on

did you check the basics???... maybe check the actual bulb filaments and the bulb contacts in the bulb sockets and the ground wire corrosion in the light assembly... do a full visual assessment of the brake light lighting components
