newbie s13 front end conversion wiring help
hi im new to this forum and a newbie here. im doing a s13 conversion on my 240 and i already have the headlights, cornerlights, fender and hood. my problem is the wiring for the headlights and corner lights, and also was wondering where i could get the headlight brackets.
1st problem is top red cricle 2nd light. idk where this connects to on the car, theres 2 wires sticking out black and red, they just connect together and nowhere else. 2nd problem far right red circle 3rd light highbeams i believe. where can i get an adapter for this and how do i connect it to my car? 3rd problem thats also from the 2nd light idk where it connects to. last is for the longer piece sticking out on the first bulb where can i get those? and are they universal for all cars cause for my 2nd headlight i am missing that cord. |

Do you have the triple projectors or dual projectors? Either way, looks like you don't have the factory wiring for the Silvia headlamps, so you'll have to wire it up yourself, usually the factory wiring from the Silvia headlamps just plug into the factory headlamp wiring of your car.
On your cars factory wiring it should be a three prong connector, you'll have to get a voltmeter and see which 12 volt lead is for the low beams and which is for the high beams then use some spade connectors on the wiring of the Silvia headlamps and slide them in. Just to let you know The outer lights are low beam The middle lights are high beam The inner light (next to the Silvia grille) are fog lamps The fog lamps will have to be wired in separately, Now onto the corner lights there should be two bulbs, one in the clear part and one in the amber part, the clear part are parking lights (always on when headlamps are on) and the amber part is a turn signal (only light up when turn signals/hazard lights are switched on) The clear part of is easy, on your 240sx front fenders are rectangle amber parking lights, the sockets from there fit into the clear part of your Silvia corner lights. On the amber part of the Silvia corner lights is different, you'll have to run wires from the turn signals on your front bumper, hopefully your Silvia corner lights had the sockets for the amber part of your silvia corner lights, what you will have to do is pull out the front bumper turn signals there should be 3 wires one is ground, one is a constant 12 volt that stays on when the headlamps are turned on and the other is the turn signal (blinking) 12 volt power lead you'll need to tap into for the amber part of the Silvia corner lights |

Also, if you have the original sockets for the amber part of your Silvia corner lights they should have a black wire connector, if you want go to the nearest junk yard and in the early 90's maximas with power windows pull the door panels and the black wire connectors for the window regulator motors fit into the wire connector plug for the amber part of the Silvia corner lights, cut the wires as far as possible and it should be enough wire to reach the front bumper turn signals
