You have a lathe.... Make a radius tool....

I can barely machine at all and I e manage to make one using a boring head... If only I still worked at that Place
Hardly a need to buy one.

i dont have a ton of experience with different lathe tools so i wasnt sure how easy it would be to make one. i'm definitely the type to make (or try to make) something before i buy an already made piece.

thanks for the link.

i lol'd at "everywhere i look needs a ball"

The start of my first exhaust. Having some issues with porosity in the welds, which I've been told is either not enough gas flow from the regulator, or not holding the nozzle close enough to the material and therefore loosing gas flow.

Flange and turn down were salvaged from an old exhaust I had in the garage. I feel like the tacks on the spun cat came out correctly, but the lumpyness of the turn down makes me realize how many things I'd forgotten since I last did any practicing.

I'm also open to any comments people might have on how to improve what I'm doing here.

It does make me feel slightly better about my own exhaust welding.

Very nice! I'm thinking of getting one myself, anything I should be looking for in particular? Not looking for a big one just something for my garage.

You'll regret that thought the moment you attempt to cut anything. I thought the EXACT same thing.

I had a ($285) 1/3hp, 4 1/2'' x 6'' band saw with a 1/2'' blade and no coolant system. And made by the same company.

Tried cutting 1.5 sch10 SS pipe... Massive fail...
I said "fuck this shit. I'll just spend the money I don't have".. So happy I did.

This one cut that same pipe like it was aluminum...

I also cut some 2'' chrome rod. Took a while but the saw didn't even hiccup.

DO NOT cheap out on a band saw... It just won't cut it in the end... Literally

I'd look for nothing less than a 1hp motor. Coolant system is a must. People can say otherwise but if you take your fab work serious at all. It's a must.
