Another Sr20det posts need help. . .

Hey guys recently i bought an s13 sr20det black top full swap for my 92 hatch. I was looking at the engine and i noticed that the ECU was J5 which is for a newer black top auto or so called 'type x' which can work on a MT but it will have horrible idle. Also was looking at the harness connecting to the ECU and there was a solid Yellow wire with green stripe that has been spliced and capped off.
My questions are how can i identify if I have a newer version sr? What is that wire for, I think it might be either for the A/C or something that has to do with the speed? And what kind of problems would i be running into swapping the newer sr20det into my 240 and a little more information on these new black tops would be appreciated before i go through with my swap
Or I might just be tweaking about little things since its my first swap sorry just frustrated a bit
