actually, the fsm says 2.5 imperial pints, which is 1.5 quarts.

i have always put in 2 qts of synthetic 80-90 and never had a problem.

My FSM (S14 SR) says 2.5L (4.375 imp pt) Are you sure it's not the CA18 your looking at?

Open the filler plug and fill until fluid pours out of the filler hole. Make sure the car is flat and not tilted up or downhill.

It's about 2 quarts, depending on how much you spill.
