My S14

I hate being the new kid on the block *blushes*

Anyways hi all, I'm Zoe and I have a very lovely lil S14 Silvia that at the moment I use as a daily driver. I have a few plans for her but as I'm a rotary girl at heart *awaits flaming* most of my money is spent on my FC.

I guess I'm here basically jus to learn a lil about my car n to see what kinda things u all do with your cars. I've had a browse through the board n I can tell Im gonna learn alot.

Pics of my baby are in my sig, I have plenty more though if anyone cares to see.

P.S I hope I put this in the right place

looking good.
you are already way further in tuning than many of the U.S. folk, since we don't get the turbo motor.

Hey, most people swap the motor, though. A chick, eh? Cool. I wouldn't mind seeing more of the car and the FC. Looks good BTW.

i am aware that people swap the motor.
what i am saying is, she already has the motor, so she is a step ahead of most people here.. and her's is stock.

ooo I shouldve mentioned that the S14 is a Qs... sorry guys

Sadly the FC is not in a fit state to have pics taken of it.. bought as a rolling shell... currently being prepped for paint... have new rims on order and the engine is away being ported... Ive had a run of bad luck with it including having the storage facility its being kept at broken into and my renesis that I was gonna put in it stolen *cries* never mind... new plans have been made and are underway

Plans for the S14 include a vertex kit (has to be ordered from Aus though) and will be detrimmed and resprayed in black, lowered and maybe new rims... though theres a thread on this board with a sexy as anything purple S14 on standard rims... so maybe I'll keep them!!

I would like to, at some stage do an RB swap into it as skyline bits are very easy to come by here and not very expensive, but for now she'll stay my lovely lil daily driver!

Heres a pic of my sil that I love... the black one in front is a Ks and belongs to my friend

Maybe you'll grow to love it as much as your FC if you put a Ks engine in her

Zoe...welcome to the group.. just out of curiosity..how are your subframe bushing on your Q?? You're not suffering from the dreaded clunking sound most USDM S14's have are you? If you are, you might find a cure here...

Wow, lol, what a lot of questions to answer. And hey Will n thanks!!

Yes it's the stock colour. Its Silver but looks kinda green sometimes. The Colour/Trim code on the firewall tag says FLO G.

There is no clunking sound anywhere in my car lol thank goodness!! The only repairs that Ive done on her in the year Ive owned her are the brake pads... LOL has nothing to do with how I drive... honest!!

I was waiting for someone to question the year of my car... It was first registered in Japan in August 1993. It was imported to New Zealand in 1998, I am the second owner and it has done 104,000 genuine kilometres.

It is not converted in anyway shape or form... It looks the way it did the day it came out of the factory. Hehe, Im not sure if thats a good thing or not!!

I must interject here: Your S14 is either a Q's with 5 lug conversion, or an ex-K's with Qs badges.
No S14 Qs came 5 lug from the factory.

Most cars in Japan come out earlier by a year or two. FD's, Soarers, silvias all the fun stuff. And they got the 180sx up until 97-98.

Any changes to the car wouldve happened in Japan and wont be registered as having been converted in NZ. But as everything else is completely standard I'm a lil confused as to how that wouldve happened. The person who owned it before me was an old guy who traded it in on a 4 door R34 GTS. Its definately not an ex-Ks!! Maybe I'll have to do a lil investigating

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm liking it here already and yes we did get cars in a lot earlier model than you in the US... we got the FD RX7 from 1992 til 2002

Holy vomit. Keep the can of gold spray paint away from him next time. That's hideous, he even painted the overflow bottle.
