'91 cams and ECU

I have a '97 240sx, and I got the S13 '91 Cams for a quick, cheap upgrade.

Because my car is an automatic, though, i started collecting parts for a 5spd swap. If i use a '91 5-spd ECU, will that negate the advantage gained from the more aggresive '91 Cams? I am not doing the double exhaust cam, just straight '91 intake/exhaust cam.

It is my understanding that '91 cams were more aggressive, but had a crappy ECU, where the S14 had the more aggresive ECU, and the crappier cams...

So putting the '91 cams and ecu would result in no net gain on an S14...
