which oil filter ?????

which oil filter goes on a s14 blacktop sr20det. i have been reading the threads that have been posted and everyone is confusing me the last time i bought the k n n hp1003 it didnt fit on my car?? please help me out i need to change my oil tommorow thank you......

you can use pretty much any Nissan filter, i prefer the filter that ends with Y000 because it's the biggest one, i've been using them on RB20's and RB26's but i believe the proper one is the one that ends with E000

K&N HP-1003 fits on my S13 SR, don't know the compatibility for an S14 SR though...

Negative on that one ghostrider...S13 SRs use the same filter from the older FWD SRs. 91-93 SE-R will work. For S14 engines tho, use the 95 and up SE-R. If you try to put a 95 filter on an S13, you'll have a nice lil "thump" and have about 3 qts of oil under your car. Trust me, I know...

I use the OEM ones from thenismoshop on my S14 SR. Some people complain about the paper endcap, but I haven't had any problems so far after 3 oil changes.

i only use WIX part number 51356 I have an S14 blacktop SR as well, and its a really good filter
