Surge Tank - Dual Bosch 044 Surge Tank @ JBtuned.com
Bosch 044 Dual or Single Pump Surge Tank @ JBtuned.com
These tanks are designed for use of twin Bosch 044 Fuel pumps. The tank can also take advantage of one pump with the optional cover. You are given a choice of outlet fitting size. Here is the basic product desciption and more can be found here. Basic Information The Aluminum Bosch 044 surge tank works inline with your current fuel system. The surge tank fills up with fuel from the OEM in tank pump. The Bosch 044 Fuel Pumps inside the surge tank draws from this reservoir providing a constant flow. Fuel is only returned to the main tank when the surge tank is 100% full, thus providing a steady supply of fuel. Our Bosch 044 Duel pump surge tank solution far exceeds the engineering found in traditional surge tanks, outperforms externally mounted fuel pumps. The Aluminum Fuel Surge tank houses two Bosch "044" pumps and keeps them submerged over 75% inside the tank. Using the fuel to submerge the pumps will muffle the noisy pumps, provide cooler pump operating temperatures for longer life, and ensure the pumps will have fuel even on steep turns or accelerations where the OEM pump could experience fuel starvation. This surge tank setup is for high powered vehicles and is rated up to 1200BHP. Anti-Corrosive Military Grade Anodizing Running E85, methanol, C16 or any other type of race gas? The aluminum of our surge tanks comes standard with military grade anodizing inside and out to prevent corrosion and preserve the life of your investment. This anodizing comes standard on our surge tanks and is not an additional option. No need to pay extra for something that a quality tank should have standard! |

Our Solution when we set out to create this surge tanks was to not recreate the wheel. A basic aluminum box that holds enough fuel for one or two Bosch pumps. The tank comes with a mounting bracket and log manifold. Simple design and easy to setup. The difference with our tank design is we make it affordable. I wanted a quality tank that will last and the average person could afford. We decided not to nickel and dime for little things like, anodizing the insides of the tanks to protect the aluminum from fuels like E85 or C16. We don't powder coat the tanks, they are 100% anodized. We don't charge extra for the log manifold or the inlet/outlet fittings. All our tanks come complete and they ship for free. The tank has to be mounted with pumps facing up but location is up to you.
Install: The tank has 3 fitting on the top of the tank. 1 is used as a feed from your factory fuel tank/pump.(fuel into tank) 1 is used for the return from your fuel pressure regulator.(fuel into tank) 1 is used as a return back into your factory fuel tank.(fuel out of tank if it gets to full) It does not matter which fitting on the tank you use for either feed or drain as long as those are plumbed up. Then the log manifold goes to your rail or rails. Hope this helps. |

So why twin Bosch pumps? Is one pump inside the surge tank not sufficient?
