Rusty sr20det metal coolant line system please help

Hi so Tonight I was gonna install my coolant line system, but one thing is that it looks rusty and i dont know if I should be installing this coolant line system or another one or maybe I can just paint it to prevent further rust? Not too sure. For an sr20det redtop. I managed to sand some of it down but notice how the rust has deformed the pipe opening slightly.

+1 on clean it up...could also soda blast it (baking soda instead of sand) and that doesn't damage the metal either

Thats a huge sigh of relief that you guys think its not too bad. Ive seen on other car forums like people let these lines get so bad till they look like they wanna burst and also rust in the cooling system isnt good for water pump bearings. I think im gonna just sand it until its almost bare metal then spray paint it. I already painted one side to protect it.

I have seen worse lol...doing restoration work where parts are no longer available you don't just trash it, you find every way to make it work and bring it back to OEM or better quality

Yeah I tried looking for these on ebay the under intake manifold metal coolant lines, but I could not seem to find them. Anyways I sanded mine down to bare metal and gave em a coat of blue spray paint that is designed to spray over rust. If they ever burst in the future which I doubt then I would have to re find this piece somewhere.
